Checkpoint

Today's a checkpoint of sorts. Bobby had his first post IL-2 CT Scan on Monday, and we meet with our oncologist Dr Keller this afternoon to look at the results, and determine where we go from here. Bobby's feeling pretty good, his biggest complaint has been the nerve pain in his hand that started during treatment. He had it looked at and was diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel. He got a steriod injection, but so far it hasn't helped much. May just take time.

Just because things seem to happen concurrently around here, my sister Lynne is in town this week investigating options for her cancer treatment. A few weeks ago, we were very disappointed to learn that her breast cancer has come back again. This is her 4th go-around, and first time to be metasticized in the lymph nodes. She's also in the middle of moving to St Louis from Tucson (again, more concurrency), so we're looking at doctors here in Tulsa and also St Louis. She's open to participating in a clincal trial, but it's a maze working through all the options.

Ironically, some of the experimental drugs being investigated for her type of breast cancer are also being used for renal cell cancer. They say misery loves company, so right now Bobby & Lynne are appreciating one another's company. God works in mysterious ways.
