Things have finally started moving along. This week, Bobby has had a CT Scan, Adrenal Function Test, Nuclear Stress Test, Brain MRI and Pulmonary Function Test. He's been poked, prodded, pumped with chemicals, photographed, scanned, and stressed out on a treadmill. Hopefully, he will pass all the tests, although this does put him in the unenviable position of hoping to qualify to receive a treatment that he's dreading having to do.
We do have a scheduled admit date at Vanderbilt. Barring unforeseen complications, we will check in on Monday, Nov 3rd. The first round will be about a week, followed by a week off, and then a second round scheduled to start on Nov 17th. It is good to see a plan coming together, it's been stressful not knowing what/when/where we will be doing.
We continue to appreciate and rely on the prayers of so many. Besides the obvious physical battle, we find ourselves in an equally challenging mental, emotional & spiritual battle, where discouragement, frustration, anger are always just a thought away. Psalm 142 encourages me: "I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord...I pour out my complaint before Him...When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, You knew my path... I cried out to Thee, O Lord; I said, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living...Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may give thanks to Thy name; the righteous will surround me, for Thou wilt deal bountifully with me."
Trusting in Him, and being surrounded by caring friends and family is what keeps us going. Thank you. Love, Juli

Juli, Thanks for sharing..I know it's exhausting to have to keep repeating the same information in countless phone calls and emails from friends who care so much for you and your family. This is a wonderful use of technology. We're continuing to pray that the treatment will be a total success.
Juli, We love you all very much!
Juli,
Our hearts are with you and Bobby as you navigate this difficult path. May God surround you with a big hug.
Love,
Betty

Our hearts burn within us to write words that bring comfort and peace in this trial...and then we are reminded that one word from the Lord is worth more than a million from man. So we pray for God's grace, mercy and healing in mind, body and spirit as you trust Him. We will praise Him for hearing and answering our prayers. Faith lives to glorify God. Love and prayers, Bob and Karen King

Hey guys! We love you lots. "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:10-12
