Rounds 3&4

Things have been quite pleasantly uneventful.  The last two chemo days have gone well, and the side effects have been minimal.  In fact, last Tuesday I was busy with some projects, so Bobby went to chemo by himself.  Dr Keller asked where I was and Bobby said it was a little like first day of Kindergarten, letting him go off on his own. He wanted to know if I cried. Bobby managed very well on his own, but I do prefer to be there.  We've found it's so helpful to have two sets of eyes and ears throughout this whole process.

Next week is CatScan Week. We go in Tuesday for scheduled chemo, but will also have an extended visit with Dr Keller to measure progression.  If there is growth, we will change to the bigger dose. If not, we continue on the current protocol for another two months.

One of my projects was to get ready for a little Fancy Night Dessert at our house on Friday, 25th. We planned it a little late so it was hectic putting it together, but it was wonderful. We were celebrating Leslie's birth 25 years ago.  Although we miss her tremendously, we wanted to remember the joy she brought into our lives and honor the legacy of love she has given us. We did that by encouraging friends across the country to have their own Fancy Night, getting a little dressed up and sharing a meal with loved ones. The response has been tremendous.  Here's our Fancy Night photo.

And we also celebrated Trip's 27th birthday last weekend. He has a Leap Year Birthday, so he didn't have an official birthday this year.  We missed Michael, he had to stay in Norman for the weekend. 

 

Some happy news... my sister Lynne is a new grandma.  Her son Adam and wife Sara gave birth on Feb 27th in Abilene TX.  She's a beautiful, healthy baby girl named Avery.
