We've lived in Oklahoma 18 years now, and while we've all experienced the seasonal nuisance of Oklahoma allergies, Bobby has never been hit this hard with the sneezes, sniffles, watery eyes and head congestion. We have no idea if the chemo is making him more susceptible to the airborne culprits, and truth be told it's irrelevant, since at this point he's just miserable regardless of the cause. Yesterday afternoon, on the advice of our friend David, who is practically a professional allergy fighter, we stopped at Walgreens to get some Allegra D. After getting carded, and the once-over at the pharmacy counter, we took it home and he promptly popped one. I have no earthly idea why we didn't realize that when that since 25 mg of pseudoephedrine makes Bobby wide awake and loopy, the 120mgs in the Allegra D was going to keep him up ALL night. Grrrrh.
We'll be discussing this with Dr Keller tomorrow. Meanwhile, tomorrow will be the 3rd round of the higher dose. One more, and we scan and check.
