Woo hoo! We started the last dose of this round of treatment this morning. Yesterday afternoon, Bobby's creatinine level was over the threshold of 5.0 so he had to miss dose 12. The level dropped by evening so he was able to take Dose 13 and now Dose 14. We're watching his blood pressure now though. It was 81/51 earlier this morning, so they gave him some extra IV fluids and it came up to 93/58, within the acceptable range.
Because of the low blood pressure we'll have to spend another night here, and hopefully will leave in the morning. That's disappointing but probably for the best, since neither of us slept well last night. Bobby's exhausted and miserable, and I'm just plain ole tired. Maybe without meds tonight we'll get a little rest before the drive back to Memphis.
The plan is to be in Memphis this next week, then returning Monday, July 6th to do this all over again. Please pray that Bobby will get good rest and will be prepared physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to persevere through another round. And of course we're praying that the IL2 is accomplishing its intended purpose - to rev up Bobby's immune system to seek out and destroy the cancer cells.
Thank you to all who are joining us in this journey. It's been great to get emails and notes from friends, and friends of friends, who are reading and praying. Isn't technology great?

Impressive. I'm so thankful for Bobby's body's ability to handle such an aggressive round of treatments. Praying for healing!
Yeah! Praying for higher blood pressure! I can think of a few topics of conversation that might get his blood moving!
How wonderful to have this first part behind you....praying for a day of rest today for both of you...and for good recuperation time in Memphis next week. He's definitely still got the fighter pilot in him....who knew how well that would serve him years later.

Bobby's bravery in this treatment is amazing.
Praying for a good night's rest and blood pressure to normalize. So wonderful to know the first week is behind you. You will continue to be in our thoughts this next week in Memphis. I'm thanking the Lord for the strength and courage he has given you both.
