We were discharged from Vanderbilt Sunday after a mostly uneventful last night, with the slightly humorous exception of me finding out what happens when you accidentally trip the emergency button in the bathroom. Turns out they take that very seriously!
Bobby's having the same weird experience of being very tired but as soon as he falls asleep his mind starts racing with random, frantic, almost paranoid thoughts. Although it seems like he's asleep, he's not getting restful sleep. Thankfully, we remember this from last time so we know it's only temporary. The weather turned amazingly pleasant here in Memphis yesterday, so we took a short walk and even went to the Y where Bobby did 15 minutes on the recumbent bike.
We had an unexpected treat yesterday - our niece Ada and husband Ryan brought their brand new (6 week old) baby girl to see us from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It was Mae's first road trip and she handled the 4 hour drive beautifully. Talk about beautiful, Mae is absolutely gorgeous with her full head of hair! We took lots of pictures, including one of Mae with her first Memphis Barbeque. While she didn't get to enjoy it, we certainly did - pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw & beans. Yum, yum.
No big plans this week, just laying low and hopefully catching up with a few Memphis friends. Thanks to all who are checking up on Michael in Tulsa. We're trying to talk him into driving over here for the weekend, but so far he's not too keen on the idea.

Our rocks are back in our pockets and the girls have their Leslie's Lifesaver buttons on the visors of their cars so you are thought of and prayed for many many moments of each and every day. Glad to hear Round 1 went so well and that you are enjoying a little time off in Memphis. We will just miss you, as we are driving in on July 6 to see Garland's family.
Garland saw Michael at the Redeemer Kickball Tournament the other night. Sorry to tell you that Asbury lost this year, but I'm sure they'll be back with a vengence next year. Garland was a ref and said some of the coaches forget that this is a CHURCH kickball tournament, not the World Series!
G also said that Michael may go to OSU instead of UA. If he changes his mind, looks like Brady's roommate will probably not return to UA, so he is looking for a roomie. Downside is that B is going to live in Humphrey's, the only still un-airconditioned dorm on campus! Crazy boy.
