Fun Flies When You're Doin' Time

Woo Hoo! We just got dose 8, over halfway. Bobby's pretty much following the pattern he set the first week of November's treatment cycle. Some nausea, mild chills and rigors, itching, and extreme fatique, so far. We know it will get worse before it gets better, but for now we're pleased with his progress. One of the doctors on rounds has already publicly predicted he'll go all the way (14 doses), so her reputation is on the line. We'll see...

We had a couple of visitors yesterday which helped the pass the time - my friend Bev's pastor and Bobby's cousin James. We have another friend Dana, who works here at Vanderbilt, who is stopping by today. Thanks to those who have been concerned about my sleeping arrangements. I'm actually sleeping surprisingly well in the Blue Beast, it definitely helps that it can fully extend, unlike the one in the last room we were in. We (mostly me) have been watching the NCIS marathon on USA Channel, up to about 10 episodes. Funny thing, they had NCIS marathons back in November, so now NCIS will always be associated with Vanderbilt. Gotta love Gibbs and the gang.

Michael went to Fayetteville for Univ of Arkansas orientation yesterday and today. I hate not being there with him, but am so proud that he's mature and responsible enough to tackle that alone. He's also staying at the house by himself for these three weeks. Not sure how he grew up so fast, but he sure is a great kid. Trip is currently deployed with his squadron to the UAE, talk about grown up! He said he's staying busy, tolerating the heat ok, and enjoying what he's doing. He gets back to Oklahoma in September.

Thanks for praying. Love, Juli

I am guessing you don't mind Texas loosing the college world series. Has Marcy come by? Call if you need me. I can come by tonight after my meeting. Might be fun to get out and walk around when it's not so hot. Bev

Bobby,
I was in Panama City last week, saw a 15 with a Bonehead logo on it and thought of you, and Willy, and UPT et al...

Looks like the Tyndall Wing is retiring the 15's next year.

Dwain said to tell you hello. Praying for you both!

Hope you had a good night last night. We had a busy day yesterday, the best of which was getting to see Ada and Ryan and MAE! She is so precious: cries, poops and sleeps just like a baby! Your time is almost done for this round. Praying that you finish strong!
