We were able to get two more doses yesterday, and are just starting the morning dose today. The lab and blood pressure numbers continue to be close, but not exceeding, the acceptable range. I'm amazed, considering how things looked earlier this week.
It was another long night with only brief, restless periods of sleep. We're straining to see the finish line, but know it's there - just three more possible doses. Current score: 8 of 11.
Father Dave came by to visit yesterday and gave us communion. I loved that one of the verses from the liturgy was Psalm 91, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 'My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.' For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions and under His wings you may seek refuge." That was also a key verse we relied upon during another challenging time back in 1991 when Bobby was in Desert Storm. Just like
Bobby sought that refuge as he flew 33 missions over enemy territory, we're seeking it now in the midst of yet another storm.
